Howard Jones Action
The new Indiana Jones film just was shown in Cannes and got really bad reviews there and the London Mail....?
.... newspaper reviewed it and they said it's really awful, Harrison Ford is too old to be realistic as an action hero, there's no real story, it looks like it was slapped together for a quick buck, etc.... do still plan to see it?
Remember, George Lucas brought us Star Wars, but he also gave us Jar Jar Binks and Howard the Duck.
First of all ... who listens to Critics? Not me. Everything that I have seen for this movie show it to be a pretty good movie. The only weight I give to any kind of movie critic is that if they say the movie is bad then it is usually a good one and I will go see it. I don't go to theaters anymore because I vowed that if Star Wars ep III was as good as it needed to be I would never see a movie in a theater again ... ep III was better than good, awesome in the grand scheme of things, so I'll see this one when it comes out on DVD.
As for Jar Jar Binks ... agree, kind of a stupid character ... Howard the Duck ... one of my favorite off beat movies in the same category as Snow Dogs.
Harrison Ford is too old to be a realistic action hero ... what a crock of sH*t. Great actors can pull off any role and Harrison Ford is not only a great actor but he knows what he can and can't do in a movie and he won't take a part unless he knows he can do it. Old doesn't mean dead.
To "Jo" ... I feel sorry for you because your answer shows that you don't have a clue about what is going on where this movie is concerned. It took wwwaaayyy toooooo long to make ... It took the same amount of time any of the other Indy movies took to make ... 3 years. The reason for the delay is because they just decided to make another Indy movie 4 years ago. Might be a good idea to get the facts straight before you come on here and make a fool of yourself.
