I work from home and can live anywhere, where should I move?
I am very lucky to work from home. I am currently looking to move out of Salt Lake City and find somewhere a little warmer and with more cultural diversity. My wife and I are both in our twenties and looking to buy a home. I can afford about 130k and would like a single family home, not a condo/townhouse. Basically, the requirements are:
1. High Speed Internet Available. (you might be surprised how many places that can eliminate)
2. A nice house available in my price range. 110k-130k
3. Cultural amenities (theatres, museums, etc.)
4. Somewhere that doesn't have a six month winter.
I would love any suggestions, even off the wall ones.
Salt Lake City is not the place for you if you want something diverse.
May I suggest somewhere in Texas in like Dallas, Austin, or Houston. No state tax which means cost of living is much less than anywhere else and each cities have a vibrant theatrical scene. The summers can be somewhat difficult sometimes but the weather is fantastic for most of the year.
