I am a HUGE fan. I have been a fan for a LONG LONG time. I had heard of Mazzy Star prior to 1994 and the mass success of their hit song Fade Into You. Because I was a Huge fan of Lush and Cocteau Twins long before 1994 (still am a fan of those bands) and they are Alternative or Dream Pop so I had heard of Mazzy Star but for some reason they just didn't grab my attention until the song went HUGE in 1994 fade into you that is. I immediately fell in love with Hope she is so awesome. My crush kind of faded over the years but I still love her and her music. I can't get on youtube for some reason its not letting me pull up the sight but I recommend the following.
