So about I year ago I ditched the scene/emo look for something more "normal", but in december there is a concert that I have been waiting 4 YEARS for, and its for an emo band. I know, I know, "it doesn't matter what you look like, your just going for the music" but I guess I'm just looking for an excuse to be my old self again. Anyway my hair is brown now (opposed to its old blue/blonde combo) and a little past my shoulders, personality I think if I try to do scene hair with that it's just gonna look stupid... so what else can I do? Also I dug out an old pair of skinny jeans but the only jacket I could find was for the band I'm going and seeing, would I look like a poser wearing it to the concert? I'm good on make up and such, but still any help would can give me would be wonderful. Thanks
Wear a white or grey tank top/wife beater so you don't look like you're trying too hard. Your skinny jeans will be good enough. Tie a bandana around your neck or wear one folded in your back pocket. Wear pretty much every cloth, felt, or hemp bracelet you have. Poof your hair, wear dark eye makeup, and put foundation on your lips topped with chapstick- that makes your eyes stand out most. For shoes, I'd go with some vans, keds, or flats. Avoid anything with stupid detailing like hearts, stars, skulls, bows, or cupcakes. Every time I see that shit I wanna puke. The point is to dress your body up. It's mostly about your hair and makeup- not the clothes.
