should we really try in life?
hi,
im 17, in good health and condition, make AB honor, and successful in an array of high school sports. oh and i have a great life with the family and friends :] ive always wanted to be and oral surgeon or in dentistry, but here lately ive been thinking, why do that? yea its good money but i would waste my youth working for it, then have nothing to do with the profit cuz i would be to old? im a pretty adventurous gal, i dont think i could stay in the office all day every day. im a thrill seeker, daredevil, and the out doorsy type that goes hiking, and i love to be pushed and challenged. but i also want to make big money but not spend my whole life to achieve my goal. so why bother? is this just some adolescent phase?
i once heard someone say "why try in life? you wont make it out alive"
my honest advise is go for what your heart tells you.
you have everything set & are ready for life, take it. yeah more schooling will take allot of time out of your life, but that's not to say you would still have the weekends to go out & live some adventures. look, to relate my life story so far, is i haven't really had a set goal in life within the past 10 years or so. yeah i get that feeling that i can make it if i try, that i can have that great adventure that's worth telling & retelling. but what good has that brought me? i'm 21 years old, & once again umemployed. still living with my parents & still sharing a room with my younger brother. & it's not like i haven't tried to find something to hold on to career wise, it's just none of them have lasted & i think its in part because i never quite felt right in those jobs. what i mean is i'm still trying to find my place in the world, & struggling because of it. you on the other hand have set goals & are well within reach of these goals. so don't give up, you can still live & learn at the same time.
in closing, i hope my ramblings will make sense to any & all who read this, & tell you all to REACH FOR THE STARS, & NEVER LOSE SIGHT OF YOUR GOAL, THEN YOU'LL NEVER HAVE TO SETTLE FOR LESS.
