How do I know if these pastels are too old?
I just got some old pastels. I'm not sure how old though, there's no date. They're well used but still a lot left. The brand is, Weber Costello.
I'm not sure though if they're good anymore. I haven't had pastels in years and the ones I had were soft and smeary, these are like soft chalk, just not as messy.
Does anyone know if they're still good to use or not or know where I can find out?

It sounds like "soft pastel", still usable; But, when they meet their expiration date you'll know. They'll pop, and make beautiful clouds of colored smoke and then their all gone.
